Its a sad day when the intended primary damage dealing class gets regulated to being the healing bi**h.... I don`t think we`re quite there yet though, a well played ele can boost a pve group or pvp team either in support or on offence without relying heavily on its secondary class.

Yeah, Glyph + Res Chant is good stuff in team PvE, especially with pugs. Everyone brings Rebirth, no one ever sigs, and you get to make anyone who dies bounce off the ground. It's good times.
Peace,

nothing makes me more sad than a monk stopping in the middle of a pve mission to rebirth someone. So I try to beat them to it so we're not screwed.
Pugging PVE...what can I say?

E/Me and E/Mo to me are the most usefull and give the potential to make the best builds.
E/R I've seen is only used for certaint farming builds.

I have to agree, El/Mo and El/Me make the best combos. El/mo is much more the team player of the two, and I enjoy switching between helping the monks and nailing AOE targets when they pop up in PvE when I'm relaxing.
El/me is more the nuke. You will be echoing something more than likely to enhance your damage output such as echoed fireball, or the ever popular meteor shower. The other reason this is popular is some people prefer mantra of resolve and use it over glyph of concentration, along with the extra inspiration energy management never hurts.
El/R is the other interesting combo with factions and proph. It has some interesting possibilities if you run survival up to 8 or 10. Storm chaser, troll unguent, serpents quickness, and winter are all usefull ranger secondary skills to most elementalists. Though as others have stated, this is also a more common PvE or farming setup and seen sometimes in HoH, pretty much never in GvG. Generally when done as a nuke, you use SQ to reduce your recharges for ~30s instead of echoing. This has other benefits in places like HoH, such as dual attunements recharging faster, making them a bit harder to strip.
El/W sometimes pop up using things like bonettis but they really do tend to very much be niche farmers.
El/N not really much to spend the energy on that necro primes don't do tons better.

if you want some different energy management, maybe due to enchntment stripping you might want to go /Me or /N for some nice energy gaining skills..
TBH I think you should leave the /Mo alone, your job is to kick some enemy ass, not to keep your allies alive. As the Ele AL is pretty low, it's unlikely that you will be the last one alive and have the need for rebirth...

If I understood your post, you want a build to solo PvE with the henchies. For that, ele/mo, and put 10 or 11 points in healing. Keep the henchies alive and you can do most quests, missions, or explorations just by wanding your targets. Add to that damage from the ele skills, and you usually have an easy time solo with the henchies as an ele/mo. Plus, getting into groups is easier for missions. Never promise to be a group healer; but in practice I often found myself doing more healing than the party monk!

Ele/Ranger actually works pretty well with water magic if you take beast mastery. You slow down your opponents and run from them while your pet beats on them. (Although it takes a lot of practice... you've been warned)

u should choose Assassin as your secondary if u have factions, in my opinion it does the most dmg and most Kds . Use glyph of sac+meteor shower to do heavy dmg in a short period of time then use Assassins promise to regain all skills/some energy right before ur enemy dies.Use immolate to speed up process. This build works great w/ a good tank and energy is not an issue, because assassins promise can be used as much as u want if u use it correctly, regaining energy quickly. I've done up to 5 meteor showers in 1 group aggro, but conserving the exhaustion is important so limit urself to up to 3 meteor showers per aggro and aim for big groups. U can actually be a real dmg nuker in pve unlike most of the slow nuking builds out there that deal crappy dmg.

If you really want some sort of stance, go E/A for dark escape, or shadow of haste+dash.
